The Inn At Shady Pines

The Inn at Shady Pines, inspired by The Golden Girls, is owned by friends who met as real estate agents in metro Detroit. After extensive renovations, we offer 10 beautifully updated rooms with a choice of one king bed and a pull-out sofa or two queen beds, all featuring kitchenettes, private bathrooms, and smart TVs.

Customer service was amazing. I spoke to wonderful people that were actually representing the room not like some other hotels that I tried to call where I was routed to a third-party and I didn’t know it.

The rooms were beautiful and clean. We couldn’t have asked for a nicer stay and a great location. The coffee maker and coffee provided were a godsend! Refrigerator was Appreciated and included a freezer which was great for ice packs. The room had a microwave as well. Beds were super comfortable and bathroom Was nice, clean and bright. The inn was pet friendly, which was important to us because we brought our dog, but there was no evidence of pets in the rooms as it was so nice and clean. I would highly recommend staying here and look forward to coming back again.

It was A few minute drive to the Mackinac Bridge and a seven minute drive to Java Joes which was a great breakfast spot.

Hidden gem in St. Ignace MI! Very clean, thoughtfully laid out for travelers. Comfy beds good location. Everything you need. Pet friendly, easy check in, great owner communication. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Will stay here again when traveling through.

AMAZING!

We booked this room at the last minute so we could bring our dog along while visiting the area and spending a day on the island. The location was perfect—just minutes from downtown St. Ignace in one direction and the beach in the other. The staff was incredibly friendly and made us feel so welcome with their personal communication and hospitality. The room was beautiful, spotless, and had everything we needed. I would absolutely choose to stay here over a hotel. It’s truly a hidden gem, and we’ll definitely be back!
